What Is True Love According To The Bible – This is what it really means when you say “I love you” to someone.. and this is why we need to have experienced God’s love before we can love someone else. I thought love was about how much I wanted to talk to someone, how much I thought about someone, until I felt that I would go for someone, how happy it made me feel, how good it made me feel. but this is not love! These are surface-based emotions. When YOU love someone it is no longer about YOU. Reading the Bible, love is about the person/people that your love is directed to. Looking at Jesus as our greatest example.. He died on the cross for us because he loved us.. We can be sure that he didn’t do it because “It made him feel good” otherwise he would have had a lot others. ways to show his love for us. Looking at the way Jesus treated people, his friends and even people he doesn’t know is the perfect example of what love is. He was selfless.

It seems like there are a lot of poets out there and other people.. they all talk the same jazz.. and then we wonder why these relationships don’t last? And I’ve been there.. He fed me that crap and I ate it.. I fed other people that tosh and they ate it too. Did either relationship work? No why?? Because there is only so far “MY MY MY ME ME ME” will take you. “MEU MEU MEU ME ME ME” is not love. Don’t be convinced that lust, sex and selfishness is love.. read your Bible!! “Fall in love with my mind and strip it of all that is” is SHORT TERM. Always waiting for someone else to do something to support your relationship is SHORT TERM. Thinking you hold power because you can play with someone’s mind until they say “I love you” is SHORT TERM. THINK THAT SEX IS GOING TO KEEP ANYTHING SHORT TERM. If you are DAI nothing else.. please don’t act surprised when you hear they got it elsewhere. A vagina or a penis is not difficult to find if the only thing you are looking for is someone to TICKLE YOUR MIND. Tickling your mind is not love. It’s about as much love as a stranger flirting with you.

What Is True Love?

I can’t say I have a box if I have a piece of cardboard in my hand. It is not “love” if you are attached to one aspect of it.. It is only that small aspect. Love between man and woman brings all those feelings of sexual pleasure you want. But that is why the Bible has systems. If you want the relationship, sexual things to last .. and feel good .. it must happen on a foundation of TRUE LOVE. (And if you really love someone like that.. then you should look at the marriage FIRST and do all that later. For some reason, many people expect to get the joys of a married couple in love without even showing true love don’t mind being. married.. and if we all waited until marriage, there wouldn’t be nearly as many sexual health problems.. But that’s a whole other post lol.)

The Bible says: “For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you knows how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust as” and the Gentiles who do not know God. you.” (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5, 8 ESV). “But we do not need to write to you about the importance of loving others, because God himself taught you to love one another.” (1 Thessalonians 4:9 NLT).

So back to love. We are very quick to say we love others.. but in relationships with the people you “love”, are you patient with them when they do wrong things? Are you kind to them in the way you speak? Do you feel jealous of what they have, what they have achieved or who they are friends with? Do you brag to them about what you have? Do you put your pride above all else in an argument? Do you demand your own way all the time? Are you “easily irritated” by them or do you take your anger out on them? Do you count the times that were right or wrong? Are you lying to him? Do you encourage wrong doings/ gossip against other people? Do you put your “love” for that person above justice, allowing them to get away with things that are harmful to you, them or others? Have you given up on the people you “love”? Lost hope in the people you “love”? Do you pray for the people you “love”? Do you help the people you “love” in their time of need? This is love!!! THIS is the way God taught us to love! If you know that one of your answers to these questions are not what they should be.. mayynn you need to find your way to the Bible and encourage people who are thinking to do it too! We cannot show that love until we first feel and recognize it from God.

Yesterday I was not patient at all with my boyfriend .. so impatient, I started to be quite rude about the situation and then there was a big gaping space for Pride to fit .. which he did 😥 lol. And I ended up getting off the phone unhappy with him, unhappy with the situation but mostly unhappy with myself.

Seven Benefits Of Loving God

I had to remember that behaving like this is not showing love.. and it is not how Jesus would have treated me. When you remember how much Jesus loves you and has forgiven your mistakes, I tell you that is enough to solve a situation. Feelings of pride were quickly dissolved and I reached out again to apologize. I must have thought I was crazy because this was all in the space of like 4 minutes lol.

But that’s the thing.. it doesn’t matter what the other person thinks or how they respond.. what matters is that your love is true love. The love described in the Bible.. the kind of love that God wants us to have with Him and with those around us.

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 tells us: “If I could speak in all the languages ​​of the earth and of angels, but I did not love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I I had the saying of pemore, and if I understood that all the dry plans of God and supported all the knowledge, and if I have this faith that could move to the mountain, but I do not love them all. 3 If I gave to the poor and also sanctified my body, I can sell it; [a]  but if I did not love others, I won nothing”.

1 Corinthians 13:13 says: “Three things endure forever, faith, hope and love – and the greatest of these is love.

An Encouragement To Teach Others With Gentleness

Let’s stop with this desired washed love.. this love that ends after a small disagreement.. I know that there are definitely situations that I need to pray where I let pride in the way! Let’s stop looking to other people and other books to “teach us to love”.. read the Bible! Read the words of the one who created love.. THE WORDS OF THE ONE WHO SENT HIS ONLY SON TO DIE FOR US ALL.. TO DIE FOR THE PEOPLE WHO LOVED HIM AND FOR THE PEOPLE HE KNEW that he would never come to love. THE LIFE! Learn about the love between a parent and child.. a husband and wife.. the love between friends. There’s everything + more! Pray that the Lord will begin to show you what you need to change to show true love to those around you.. until it spreads to everyone you meet, not just the people you say you love.

As they say sometimes, the only people who read the Bible is us.. let’s take the first principles and learn to show love in the RIGHT way. Most of the time, we celebrate Valentine’s Day by sending cards, flowers and other gifts to the people we love. . Our kids love coloring pictures for their grandparents and cousins ​​with lots of heart stickers to go with it! 😉 And of course he likes to prepare Valentine’s Day for his classmates!
