What Is The True Meaning Of Love In A Relationship – February 14 is a day that is celebrated all over the world as Valentine’s Day (also called the day to express love). Therefore, as an act of love, I have chosen to share a chapter from my book, “Christianity: Musings and Life Lessons of a Christian Writer.”

“I love you”, a very powerful statement that is quickly becoming a cliché to be misused and overused by this generation. The way it is used today, these words have lost the impact they had in the heart of a woman. Many people use it so carelessly that individuals now think that love is no longer enough for any relationship to last. But then I wonder, “Isn’t love supposed to have all the good embedded in it? And if so, why isn’t it enough?”

What Is The True Meaning Of Love In A Relationship

The reason is that man has replaced the true meaning and value of love, with his “scientific, fact-based, clear thinking and reality-based” definition. Therefore, you hear phrases like “Love is blind” or “A relationship cannot be built only on love”.

True Meaning Of Love

Love is patient, love is kind. He does not envy, he does not boast, he is not proud. He does not dishonor others, he is not self-seeking, he is not easily angered, he keeps no record of wrongdoing. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices in the truth. Always protect, always trust, always hope, always persevere. Love never fails

From the above characteristics, it is easy to notice that people’s understanding of love is very different from its true meaning. If you are one of those who believe that love is blind, then where is the trait of love that does not delight in evil, but rejoices in the truth?

And, if you think that love is not enough, what other traits are absent in love? Is it trust? It is present in love. Is it proper communication? Love is not rude, it is patient, it is not self-seeking or easily angered, and it keeps no record of mistakes. What other rudiments of communication is needed?

Is it busy? We consider the commitment of God and that of his Son, Jesus, because the Bible says that God is Love (1 John 4:8). God sent his only Son and allowed him to undergo pain and suffering because of his love for us. And Jesus went through it all in obedience and love for his Father. What better demonstration of dedication can be found!

True Meaning Of Love (2021)

So when we say we love others, do we really understand the implications? Are we willing to suffer for that person’s sake? This is the kind of love God would have for others. What are you going through, is it more than Christ did? God expects us to love as he does.

So, understanding that GOD is LOVE, how do we, Christians, go about loving others? You do not know that the name of God is at stake; because we are living epistles for others to read. If we believers don’t understand the implications of what love means, how do we expect the “world” to understand?

The world turned, not because of the unbelievers, but because we, the Christians, did not understand the meaning of what Christ did, which is the true meaning of love. Everyone thinks that there is a true meaning to the word Love, but the truth is that there are millions of meanings that words give to all butterflies. The truth is that it’s not just this simple four letter word, if you say it and don’t mean it it will come back to bite you. you this word is so powerful that the dictator will never give you the right description of that really wonderful word really means and how much it means to the world …. …………….. …………………….. a certain thing about it the word does not abuse

It seems we don’t have enough of it in our lives and especially in our hearts. Since last weekend, when I was able to see true love at my friend’s wedding, it has been on my mind a lot.

But do you really have a pure heart when you are in love with someone? Will you sacrifice your own happiness for his? Do you really want them happy?

I remember talking to my sister in high school and saying that I wanted her brother’s happiness even if it meant he was with someone else, even at the expense of my own happiness. I want to see him happy because he is a good man and he deserves it.

She told me… “This is the essence of true love… which is the purest of love. The love you have for my brother is what true love should be always … unconditionally, with an open heart, and always. give of yourself”

A True Meaning Of Unconditional Love

I never saw him like that, it was me that I loved him so much, that I did anything for his happiness. For many people it is a hard thing, to see someone happy when you are not? Sacrifice for another? We live in a “me” world, me first everyone else behind me.

Some people do not even put their children first, and even their husband or lovers. They cannot imagine putting someone else’s needs above their own.

Love is giving your all and expecting nothing in return, it is loving someone so much that you will literally do anything for them. You put their needs above yours, think of their feelings first, you’re even willing to compromise in pursuit of their happiness. I never thought like this before, I knew that I always loved this man, because he was my first love, that he would be in my life in one way or another, but I had the ability to love in the sense truer than words… the love that words speak and teach you? The kind of agape love?

Yes, I learned that it didn’t matter if we were together or not, I wanted him in my life. That I prayed for his happiness, that I hoped he would find love and peace in his life, with or without me it didn’t matter, all that mattered was his happiness. I’ve learned to put my girls’ needs above my own since they were born, which is easy for one mother… but for another, with nothing in return? It’s not that easy.

The Meaning Of True Love

I have grown and learned so much these past 7 years and yes, I have learned that I can love unconditionally. I learned to love people for who they are, in their soul, without looking at their flaws like we all have. Yes, and I learned what true love really means… loving another with a pure heart.

So today my friends, love with a pure heart, not for what someone can do for you, or what you can get out of it for yourself, but only for love itself, in its purest form… that’s when you know. you have come to a place of joy.
