Hold dumbbells in both hands. Place dumbbells in front of upper leg with elbows straight or slightly bent. Lift the dumbbells forward and upward until your arms are at shoulder height. Lower the weight to the starting position. Lift the weight up and out to the sides until your arms are at shoulder height. Lower the weight back to the starting position. That makes one rep, or repetition.

Holding dumbbells, bend your knees slightly and bring your torso forward, bending at the waist. Keep your back straight until it is halfway parallel to the floor. The dumbbells should hang directly in front of you, with your wrists facing each other. This is your starting position. Now, while keeping your torso still, lift the dumbbells straight up and back, keeping your elbows close to your body. Then slowly lower the barbell to the starting position. Move your wrists away from you so that your wrists are away from you and repeat the movement by pulling the weights back and up with your elbows at your sides. That’s one rep done.

Begin at slightly below shoulder height, with your elbows bent and your arms at your sides. This is your starting position. When you lift dumbbells, your elbows should always be higher than your arms. Also, keep your torso still and pause for one second at the top of the movement. Slowly lower the dumbbells to the starting position.

Grab a dumbbell or medicine ball. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold a weight in front of you with both hands. Tighten your abs and squats, rotating the weight up and to the left. Now, use your abs to control the movement as you ‘cup’ your right leg. * Keep your body weight on your heels. Don’t let your knees go past your toes and don’t let your shoulders hunch over.*
