The series feels like it was lost almost right out of the gate. However, this is not the case at all, and the problem comes from the dishonesty of the series and what it actually is.

Released in 2016, and while it wasn’t exactly a critical darling, it did pretty well, and fans seemed to like it too. This makes the veto towards the second film and the apathy towards the third all the more interesting. The problem is that the first movie was a bait and switch when it came to what it was really about. For what felt like about 85% of the movie, we see a bunch of new characters trying to capture and conjure up a bunch of crazy looking creatures. It was Harry Potter’s Pokemon, and Newt Scamander was here to catch them all. However, in the later parts of the film, it reveals itself not to be about crazy-looking creatures. It was all just a dress-up set, as they made up the infamous Grindelwald story and accidentally brought in Dumbledore as well.
The problem with this bait and switch is that it divides your audience. People who enjoyed the first episode
In movies two and three it would be annoying because Grindelwald and Dumbledore continue to take over the plot so there aren’t really any interesting beasts. However, fans who are looking forward to seeing the story of Grindelwald and Dumbledore will be annoyed that we’re going to skip over these other characters like Newt, who doesn’t really seem important and isn’t who we’re here to see. one for The movie tries to please both audiences, and by doing so, gives them mediocre and disappointing movies to watch.
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore
Warner Bros. seems to be banking on the idea that they can do anything Harry Potter related, and it will work well, and it did for the first film. It made more than $800 million at the worldwide box office, and people generally thought it was OK. However, the dislike of the second film was so bad that they had to rewrite and rework the third to try and correct the course mid-franchise. Many franchises have failed because they put the cart before the horse; Dark Universe, the first version of the DCEU, and Fantastic Beasts are among them. The third film quickly wraps up many plot points that leave the door open for the other two films, but if this is the end, it’s not quite the end.
