What Is The Purpose Of Our Life
Without a purpose in life, you will continue to feel stuck, like you are moving in circles, watching time pass you by.
Find Your Purpose And Unleash Your Full Potential
A life purpose is like a compass, which guides you along the path of life. Keeping you focused, focused and clear on what is really important to you and what you want from life.
Ikigai is a Japanese term that means, loosely translated, “a reason to live,” or the purpose of our lives. The diagram below shows the intersection of four main areas of our lives:
Ikigai is the common ground between what we love, what we are good at, what the world needs, and what we can afford. Finding your purpose is a great step.
Seeking and realizing your ikigai will not happen overnight. By working towards our ikigai over time, we will continue to grow and develop in our chosen fields or careers. And because our ikigai is our choice, we can feel a sense of independence on the journey it takes to get there.
How To Find Your Passion And Purpose In Life
Ikigai is often nothing fancy or unusual, which makes it approachable and realistic for many people. In that way, it also improves our well-being because we are always working towards something meaningful.
To create your ikigai, start with each of the four main areas of the circle. Write down the activities and subjects you love and the things you are good at. Next, think about what the world needs, specifically from you. Finally, what can be paid for in relation to your skills and experience.
Next, start making connections between each of the circles. For example, what do you love that the world also needs? What are you good at that can be paid for? Answering these questions will help you find ways to achieve balance within the circles.

When you feel you have a sufficient understanding of yourself, brainstorm some possible things in your ikigai, or how all four areas could fit together and what that would look like. on that in your life. Then ask yourself what you need to start and stop doing to get there.

Although the practice of ikigai is a great way to start brainstorming and visualizing our life purpose, it can be overwhelming to try to achieve it.
We tell ourselves a lot of stories about what we can and cannot do. Fear holds us back from achieving our goals and dreams.
Fear is the main reason for trust. When we fear the outcome or part of the process, we don’t move forward. Taking action increases confidence. Fear creates this vicious cycle that keeps us from achieving our goals and dreams and, in the process, robs us of our confidence.
Start by listing your concerns about finding your purpose. What is it about this discovery process that scares you? What unknowns overwhelm you? Think about how this boosts your self-confidence level.

Next, identify the evidence that proves your fear is wrong. What lie is your fear trying to tell you?
Once you have destroyed your fear of following your purpose, you can begin to identify your core values. Start by listing everything you value, or use this list of core values as inspiration. Next, narrow that list down to five of your deepest values.
As you look at your list, think about how your current life and work supports and reflects these values. How do they show you daily? What examples do you have of times when you have truly lived your values?
Next, think about the values that you may be ignoring or not paying enough attention to in your current situation. How can you pay more attention to these values? What do you need to start or stop doing to fully embrace and live these values?

Our values are the same as the people at our core. When we understand and claim our values, it’s easier to make decisions, and we can put our dreams into action.
Which brings me to the final step. We cannot fulfill our purpose without taking action. We make the difference between where we are and where we want to go.
Some of us are already on our way to throw away our icigai. Others have a little more work to do. Start by identifying where you are on that continuum. Next, think about where you want to be next year.
Then, break that goal down into 12 concrete actions or changes you need to make. Find your favorite planner, notebook or online calendar and assign one action per month for the next year.
Creating Your Purpose In The Purposelessness Of Life.
By focusing on one area of improvement per month, our goal becomes more manageable, and we are more likely to follow through on these small actions.
