However, research shows that taking turmeric for healing can help reduce that pain. A recent study gave participants an oral curcumin supplement twice daily for two to three days. After that, the participants were instructed to do some exercise designed to induce muscle soreness. Finally, research has found that curcumin reduces the symptoms of DOMS.
