Casinos On The Las Vegas Strip List
But if there’s anything more painful than a blackjack dealer pulling to 21, it’s being hit with a vacation fee that you weren’t prepared for.
The Las Vegas Strip’s Most Profitable Resort
Here is a list of the best Las Vegas hotels with no fees. We’ll also discuss strategies for avoiding these fees if you want to stay in a place that charges them, plus situations where you should give in and pay the fees.
So, what exactly is a restaurant fee? A fee that is added to the hotel bill, usually per night, in addition to the usual fees and taxes. Based on a survey, expect to pay about $40 per night for a hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. In addition, you will be taxed on the fee.
Although the most common name is “restaurant fee,” you may also see these charges under names such as “administrative fee,” “handling fee,” “service fee,” “experience fee.” ” or other funny names.
What are the benefits of $40 a night? MGM Resorts include Wi-Fi, access to the fitness center, passport printing and unlimited and unlimited phone calls. You’ll find similar amenities in the resort fee at other hotels – big and small, Strip and off-Strip.

By 2023, Wi-Fi in Vegas hotels should be standard, and wellness centers will cost as little as $40 a day. The boarding pass is now mobile (or can be printed for free at the airport).
And who makes so many phone calls from their hotel room phone that they still consider it a bonus?
Here’s the thing: restaurant fees are a way for hotels to post lower rates on hotel booking sites. They add these fees later to increase the price.
For example, you can book a night at the Excalibur, part of MGM’s MGM Rewards loyalty program, for $31 per night. That’s good, even for the lowest-priced hotels on the Strip. But wait. The resort fee is $39.68 per night, which is more than double the nightly rate.
Las Vegas Flooding Tears Through Casinos, Parking Garages On The Strip
These rates are not limited to low end hotels either. You can budget for a stay at the Cosmopolitan for $200 a night, but you’ll need to shell out $51 a night for the restaurant fee – around a 25% price increase.
Your options are limited if you want to be close to the Strip and not pay a restaurant fee. The two major hotel groups, MGM and Caesars, both charge restaurant fees up and down the Strip.
If you are on the Strip, you must have it on your wish list of non-hotel hotels, meet at Casino Royale, which is a member of the Best Western Rewards program. Let’s be clear about one thing: You’re getting a hotel room and a great location – not much else.
The hotel is across from The Mirage and next to Harrah’s Las Vegas. You will find a small casino on site and basic food options (for example, Subway, Pizza Hut and White Castle), but the main draw here is the excellent location – the hotel is in the middle of the Strip, with cheap. access to concerts, casinos, restaurants, bars and nightclubs.
Hours In Las Vegas: Things To Do And See
If you are looking for something that qualifies as a good or high end hotel, this is not the place for you. Instead, consider the next option on our list: Marriott’s Grand Chateau.
Best Western does not have an award chart and award night prices can vary greatly. When we searched for nights in the summer and fall, we found them under 16,000 points for nights and up to 28,000 points on weekends. The price of money will fluctuate in the same way. We found cheap rooms for $80 a night, all the way up to $300 a night.
Book early if you want to stay here. Fall availability was already relatively low during our mid-summer search.
If you want to go to a good hotel near the Strip and avoid resort fees, there is only one choice: Marriott’s Grand Chateau.
Best Hotels In Las Vegas, From Sleek Casinos To Actually Relaxing Resorts
Technically, the Grand Chateau is not on the Strip, but only 0.2 miles. The hotel is just one block of Harmon Avenue from the Miracle Mile Shops and the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. This easy access to dining, concerts, gambling and shopping makes it a convenient location for the Strip.
At the Grand Chateau, you won’t find a casino or slot machines, which gives it more of a Marriott-resort feel as opposed to a Las Vegas-casino feel. The hotel is part of the Marriott Vacation Club, but is open for bookings to anyone – member or not. Here you will find not only standard living rooms, but also two- and three-bedroom villas with kitchens and living areas.
Other amenities include free Wi-Fi, two pools, a fitness center and two dining options. And most importantly, there is no restaurant fee added to your booking fee.
Standard rooms can usually be booked for between $200 and $300 per night. This hotel is part of the Marriott Bonvoy program and award nights range from 40,000 points to 53,000 points per night.
Hard Rock® Completes Acquisition Of The Mirage Hotel & Casino®
The Travelodge by Wyndham Las Vegas Center Strip is a budget option with a motel setting with rooms that open to the outside. It’s part of the Wyndham Rewards program, and you can expect complimentary rooms, free Wi-Fi, a basic pool, on-site laundry and, of course, no resort fees.
The location is hard to beat: Across the Strip from the Aria hotel, with Planet Hollywood across Harmon Avenue.
We found rates as low as $67, and almost always under $100, per night through the summer and fall. You can earn an award stay with 15,000 Wyndham Rewards points per night on a Go Free stay if you’re really looking to cut costs.
East of the Strip on Harmon Avenue, you’ll find Wyndham Vacation Club Grand Desert. Rooms here include one and two bedroom suites with full kitchens plus washers, dryers, dining areas and more. You will find a condo style experience compared to a standard hotel room.
Best Las Vegas Hotels On The Strip In 2023
There are two fitness centers, a beautiful swimming pool and a business center. Like the Grand Chateau and Desert Rose Resort (below), you won’t find a casino here. But if you want to go to the Strip, there is a free shuttle service for you.
Summer rates are around $150. If you plan to spend your Wyndham points, you may see a fee of 15,000 points per night for Go Free awards.
Part of Shell Hospitality, the Desert Rose Resort is an alternative to Las Vegas hotels, a no-frills hotel, just 1 1/2 blocks from the Strip behind the Tropicana.
In terms of amenities, it offers the same experience as Wyndham Vacation CLub Grand Desert: condo-style suites with multiple bedrooms, kitchens, living rooms, beautiful swimming pools, fitness centers, free Wi-Fi – free and many more. There is no casino, but it is located next to the OYO Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, so you can easily walk to get your bets on.
Shell Hospitality does not have a loyalty program, and room rates can vary greatly. In the middle of the week, you’ll usually see rates between $120-$160, but on weekends it can be double that.
If you’re staying on the Strip at a popular hotel like the Fairfield Inn or Embassy Suites, you’ll have no problem finding them without resort fees. Just think of it as a hotel from another city compared to a hotel with a Las Vegas vibe.
If you have elite status with the right hotel program or if you make award bookings with the right hotel, you may be able to get your handling fee waived.
If you choose the Grand Chateau at $150 per night with no resort fee or the MGM Park at $75 per night plus a $39 restaurant fee (a total of $114), you can spend less to stay at the Strip at MGM Park.
Las Vegas Strip Icons Set For Demolition, Implosion
The cost of being able to stay in a hotel without a hotel is also the same. The location may not be as good, and you may not get the full Las Vegas casino experience and facilities during your stay.
The best option is to compare hotels and check resort fees, which are usually displayed before you enter your credit card information near the end of the reservation. There’s no shame in paying a restaurant fee if you’re into it
